obsidianblaq's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- party girl Alright, well the first thought is my party. I don’t think I’ve mentioned it before, but I had plans in the works for about a month for my “end of the year party”. This happened on Tuesday. People showed up anytime after 5, set up a tent in the backyard and hung around the fire. Once it got dark we set up the projector and my DVD player in the back of the van and had a screen on the side of the gazebo, so it was like a funky little movie theatre. Was way too cool. I had a turnout of between 16 and 20 friends, not including the 8 adults and 3 children running around. So there were a lot of people. The music was good, the company was great. some people disappeared earlier than others. Around 3 in the morning there was 4 of us up. My dad, being slightly tipsy and in a great mood, encouraged the guys who were up to go get our goat and shove it in someone’s tent. That was more than funny.I think it was it might have been partially inspired because we were listening to Jeff Foxworthy’s ‘you might be a redneck if…’ routine. The guy in the tent was like ‘I have to give you props for that. That was awesome.’ Only us. By 5 we had all settled down into our respective tents. I followed graham to his and we sat and chatted for a while before we agreed I should leave in case someone got up and said the wrong thing to my parents. So I wandered between the tent I was supposed to be sleeping in and the fire, until I crawled into the van and slept for about 10 minutes at a time. Then I got up at 7:30 and went back to graham’s tent to wake him up. The 11 of us that were still around in the morning hung out in the gazebo chatting. Mom made an amazing breakfast for all of us. She’s amazing When Tanya’s dad came to pick her up I went with her back to her place where we ended up falling asleep listening to ‘the dark side of the moon’ until the phone rang 2 ½ hours later. Her stepmom came home and we all went out to a fantasia party in almonte. That was something else. Maybe I’ll write about that later. But I have to get going now...
